Welcome to the weekly fashion round-up, where we bring you the latest on supermodels, style, designers and everything in-between!

Which Hollywood bombshell prefers a dressing gown to designer couture? Which sexy starlet has been gymming in a hot bikini?

Here's the lowdown on the latest fashion news!

G-string wedding dress makes debut at Berlin Fashion Week

A wedding outfit inspired by lingerie used for the first night made a splash on the catwalk at the Berlin Fashion Week.

The revealing dress was showcased by German fashion house Kaviar Gauche the Daily Mail reported.

The risque garment, which looks like a bra and barely-there thong joined together with a central slip, is covered in a translucent veil.

The Berlin design team, consisting of Alexandra Fischer-Roehler and Johanna Kuhl, are known for pushing the boundaries and for their headline-grabbing shows since they founded the label in 2003.

The designer duo, who are never traditional or conservative in their work, are known as mavericks of the bridal design world.

My sense of humour is more vital than my bikini look, says Sophie Monk

As she poses for Maxim Australia's February 2012 issue, Sophie Monk says that there are always mixed emotions when a men's magazine comes calling, asking for a front cover shoot.

The 32-year-old pop singer and model also said that she believes a sense of humour is more important than how she looks in a bikini top.

"I've always felt my sense of humour was more important than how I look in a bikini top," the Daily Telegraph quoted her as saying.

"Funny enough, it seems the men's magazine game begged to differ and the offers kept rolling in. Soon the anxiety went out the window."

"My take on shooting for men's magazines is that I love entertaining people and being creative, so I approach every shoot wanting to bring something fresh."

"I have to admit, a lot of my fans are men and it's flattering to think they still think I rate in the looks department, as much as it is very cool when women say they relate to me and I''m down to earth."

"The trick is to use your assets without becoming a stuck-up diva."

"The downside of Hollywood is, of course, that you are always competing in the beauty Olympics, whether you like it or not."

"Frankly if you want to appear on screen -- from TV to cinema or even YouTube -- your sense of humour needs to be presented in a nice package."

"I never imagined putting emphasis on image or weight, but you soon realise it comes with the game."

Monk added that she'll carry on her shoots for men's magazines for as long as "it's still entertaining".

"It''s all good fun for now and as long as it's still entertaining I'll do it, but I get a better kick out of things like radio, when you can entertain and it doesn't matter what you look like," she added.

Iranian actress exiled over nude photoshoot

An Iranian actress has been banned from returning to her homeland after appearing naked in a photoshoot for a French magazine.

Golshifteh Farahani, co-star of the 2008 spy drama Body of Lies with Leonardo DiCaprio, moved from native Iran to Paris a year ago.

She appeared in the news magazine Madame Le Figaro in protest against the ultra-conservative cultural policies, which she claims are restricting Iran's film industry.

"I was told by a Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guide official that Iran does not need any actors or artists and 'you may offer your artistic services somewhere else'," the Independent quoted her as saying.

Meanwhile, she got praise from some fans for her courage in tackling a taboo subject among Muslim women.

On a more positive note and in related news, a Tunisian model has become the first Muslim woman to be signed by cosmetic brand Lancome as its ambassadress.

Hanaa Ben Abdesslem features in the new campaign for Teint Idole Ultra 24h foundation.

The 22-year-old made her runway debut for Vivienne Westwood last year and hasn't looked back.

Abdesslem, who doesn't drink alcohol or smoke, is hell-bent on changing perceptions of the modelling industry at home.

After winning second prize on the Lebanese equivalent of reality show Project Runway, Hanaa signed with modelling agency IMG.

"(People in Tunisia) have this misconception of what modeling is about," the Daily Mail quoted her as telling New York Magazine.

"Modelling can be a career choice, too. I plan to change this misconception within my culture," she added.

Rihanna goes gymming in bikini

While most people prefer dressing down when they hit the gym, sporting loose tracksuit bottoms and tee-shirts to be the most comfortable while exercising, Rihanna recently hit the gym in a tiny two piece.

The singer opted for something slightly more daring in Hawaii, sharing a picture of herself on her Twitter page wearing just a tiny white bikini as she posed on a crosstrainer.

The 23-year-old teamed the triangle two-piece with a pair of huge sunglasses, and tweeted the shot with the caption: Haha, come tap this @Khloekardashian!!!' the Daily Mail reported.

Rihanna later posted a series of other shots showing her messing around with friends while wearing the sexy two-piece.

One showed her blowing a kiss to the camera while displaying her curves, while she laid on her front for another picture.

And when someone on Twitter asked her what the secrets to her incredible figure are, she replied: "Angles/Lighting/Photoshop :)"

Zooey Deschanel relies on her fringe for style

Zooey Deschanel insists that her appeal lies in her fringe and she always regrets growing it out.

The 32-year-old actress struggles to understand why she ever attempts to change her style because she always reverts to the same look.

"I'm all bangs (fringe) and eyes. There have been periods when I've grown my bangs out, but I always cut them back, so it's like, why go through the trouble?!" Contactmusic quoted her as telling Allure Magazine.

The New Girl actress also believes that women should be allowed to "express who they are", and so she doesn't see any problem with females dressing in a girly fashion if that's how they want to look.

"If you feel like dressing like a girl, there's nothing wrong with that."

"I don't know why femininity should be associated with weakness. Women should be free to express who they are without thinking, I need to act like a man, or I need to tone it down to be successful. That's a very good way to keep women down," she added.

Angelina Jolie has been stepping out in the most glamorous of outfits this awards season, but she insists that she's more comfortable at home in a dressing gown.

The 36-year-old says that while the world may see her in fancy frocks, the reality is that she's most often dressed down in a robe and is running around after partner Brad Pitt and their six kids, the Daily Express reported.

"As mothers we wake up and make sure our kids are okay. I'm the person in the robe trying to make the coffee for everyone," she said.

Michelle Williams feels that her work has "never been sexy" despite picking up a Golden Globe and Bafta nomination for her role as the sexiest woman in the world in My Week with Marilyn.

The 31-year-old, who has delivered a stunning performance as Marilyn in her new film, told GQ Magazine that her first role as naughty teenager Jen Lindley in Dawson's Creek made her realise that being sexy can be negative.

"I wouldn't say that that would be one of my first qualities as a human being -- being sexy," the Mirror quoted her as saying.

"And I think because my character on Dawson's Creek was sexy...sexualised...sexual...I saw all the negative attention and connotations that can come along with that. And that those things can keep people from seeing you clearly."

"When you play sexy you're kind of playing just for men."

"That is something you have to police and turn it on its head."

"I mean, sexuality has been a part of my work, obviously -- Blue Valentine -- but it's never been sexy. It hasn't been beautiful," she added.

Lara Stone has stripped off for a steamy advert for Calvin Klein's spring/summer 2012 campaign.

In the shots, the 28-year-old model stretches out seductively on some rocks in St Barts wearing just rainbow-bright denim jeans, her tanned skin glistening in the sun, the Mirror reported.

The photographs may not feature a whole lot of clothing for a fashion brand, but they are certainly sexy.

Comedian Tom Williams' wife is joined by male model Matthew Terry in some stills, both of them dripping with sex appeal.

In another, Stone covers up in a crisp white tailored blazer worn with heels.

The pictures were taken by fashion photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.

Emma Stone has revealed that she uses grapeseed oil instead of a moisturiser, as she is allergic to "almost everything" when it comes to her sensitive skin.

The The Amazing Spider-Man actress says that she uses the cheap vegetable oil to look fresh and blemish-free.

"I just use natural grapeseed oil from the grocery store on my face as moisturiser," Contactmusic quoted her as telling Style.com.

"After the shower, I pat it on, and then I'll use it throughout the day and at night," she said.

There is one side effect of her beauty secret though, she revealed. "I pretty much smell like grape all the time."

Cindy Crawford's ten-year-old daughter has made her modelling debut this week in a new ad for Versace's children's line.

According to the Daily Mail, Kaia, the model's daughter with husband Rande Gerber, poses for the inaugural collection of Young Versace, which caters to children 12 and under.

Kaia is seen in a leather jacket and embellished miniskirt, and her hair is styled in waves.

Wearing full makeup, she appears years older than ten.

Crawford, who was the former muse to the late Gianni Versace, expressed pride in the campaign.

"I'm so thrilled that Kaia was chosen to be part of the first Young Versace Campaign," Fox News quoted her as saying.

"I have so many fond memories of the times I spent with Gianni and Donatella. There is something so very special about the House of Versace," she added.

Crawford, 45, also insisted that she was on set while her daughter shot the campaign and described it as a "fantastic experience."

Donatella Versace praised Kaia's abilities on set. "Like her mother, Kaia has a very special gift. The camera really, really loves her," she said.

Geri Halliwell has revealed that she dresses for herself and wants to feel comfortable in her clothes.

The former Spice Girls singer has once again teamed up with British high street store Next to create a new range of swimwear, daywear and underwear.

Halliwell also insists that she wants other women to feel confident in her designs.

"I think I'm every woman -- I know it's a cliche but it's true," Contactmusic quoted her as telling Britain's OK! Magazine.

"Sometimes I'm ultra-feminine, then I'm chilled out and comfy, then I want to be super-glam. It's fun being a woman! Although I have learnt what suits my body shape. I now also try to dress for myself rather than for approval," she said.

"My new collection is feminine and flirty, yet still supportive. My priority was to give body confidence and to be sexy, yet flatter and give great support. It's for real women who lead busy lives but still want to look and feel gorgeous."

"I always have real women in mind. My aim is to make them look the best they can. If a man is lucky enough to see her in her undies, he'll find her even more attractive as they enhance what she's got," she added.
