Telugu language software mooted

Email this story to a friend. Software to popularise and increase the usage of Telugu will be developed soon, Telugu Official Language Commission Chairman Madgula Nagaphani said today.

After assuming charge as the TOLC chairman, he said many Telugus living abroad too feel that software would help them learn the language and keep abreast with development at home.

He said the commission is considering starting courses for the benefit of Telugu newsreaders in the electronic media to enable them to pronounce words correctly, besides training Telugu journalists on the correct usage of the language.

A Telugu dictionary on technical terminology would also be compiled, he added.
